I had planned a wonderful, happy, babyriffic post to tell the world about the next duckling in the queue. The one who will arrive sometime in May.
The one who is currently running a full-court press for matricide.
Early life with the Tominator wasn't this bad. I wasn't 100%, and I was absolutely exhausted, but at least I could eat. In fact, there were foods I wanted to eat. Fried mozzarella sticks, primarily. And beef. And chips with french onion dip, which threw SuperHubby for a serious loop, since I never eat potato chips.
But this baby? Oh no. Apparently this baby feels that anything in excess of half a cup of wonton soup is too much to handle. Maybe she's planning to be an itty-bitty string bean of a ballerina. I dunno, I just wish she'd let me eat something.
Anyhow, so that's my good news. Whoopee!

Wheeeeeeee! Baby! A brand new one. Which is good timing because Tom was starting to lose that new baby smell. :)
So, my husband (hee) and I totally just argued over who got to be first to comment and congratulate you. Obviously he won. But yay! We're both really excited for you & Super-Hubby!
Oh congratulations, Gos (& fam!)!! That is indeed exciting news. I hope you are feeling better soon. But YAY for the baby!
HOORAY! Congratulations to you! What wonderful news. I hope you feel better soon.
Steve - Tom has totally lost that "new baby" smell. He's started to get that sticky-sweet toddler stink.
Chili - Good to see you again, and thanks!
Woohoo! Congrats on the pregnancy! I TOTALLY feel your early pregnancy pain (got to have it with both Sydney and this time around...joy). Hope you are feeling better soon.
When I was pregnant with my daughter she would kick on top of my hip bone until it was sore and I remember thinking I couldn't remember what it felt like to be skinny. But it didn't take long after her birth before I couldn't remember what it had felt like to be so large and uncomfortable. Your post brings it back in vivid detail. Is this a good thing? Hmmm. . . not sure :)

I can't delete my accidental double comment! Curse you Beta Blogger! It won't let me sign in as I'm not in Beta myself. Grrr . . .
Congratulations!
Oh, this is just SO exciting!
Looking around, there seems to be a shortage of 'good people'. Now I can feel hopeful that soon, there will be more!
One of my oddest cravings ever was for instant potatoes. Really. Once, my husand got up in the middle of the night and prepared them for me while wearing our second child on his hip.
Apparently, I was whining for them in my sleep - or atleast in HIS sleep.
Yaaaaay! So exciting! And fabulous, and warm-fuzzy-feeling inducing, and so on. I can't wait to meet the newest baby Duck :)
Grats, grats, and more grats on the upcoming Superbaby Part Deux!
Congratulations! Sorry to hear the little bean is trying to kill you though. I hope that will pass soon. Listening to your food cravings from your first totally reminded me of my pregnancy with Sam - it was all about the salty.
Yay, yay!! Congratulations to you (and I hope you're able to eat soon)! Do you know it's a girl already or just "wishful thinking"? Hehe (Didn't sink in until after I typed it...)
Wonderful news! Hope you feel better soon!
I'm so happy for you!
Oh my freaking excited for you! When are you due? Because I haven't announced on my blog yet (I plan to this week sometime) but I am due in May too! We can be pg buddies! SOOOOOO excited for you!
