14 Months of Sympathy

Last night, just as I was about to pull dinner from the oven, I was overcome by a sudden urge to worship at the porcelain throne of St. John. I dashed to the loo, closing the door behind me.

I retched, I kecked, I moaned. And from the other side of the door, I heard lilting laughter. He chortled. He guffawed. At me.

I hadn't had much to eat, but that didn't keep my stomach from trying to revolt, again and again. And each time, the laughter followed me. Apparently listening to your mother throw up is hil.ar.i.ous.

Oh the love.

Morning sickness is the perfect place for the word kecking.

I'm thinking you didn't think it was as hilarious as the Tominator did. Little rascal.

I hope you have at least one day of a non-churning stomach.

All the more reason to take lots of pictures when he's doing embarassing things to show future girlfriends!

I hope you feel better soon.

Hee hee. Kecking is good. All my happiest congrats on your new sweetpea!

Joel liked imitating the noises I made whilst bowing over the bowl. I'd have a little echo in between waves...

And I'm sure they'll want plenty of sympathy when they wake in the middle of the night having kecked in their bed. Somehow if you laugh at them it wouldn't be acceptable. Those of us who have been there know your pain :)

So Sorry. I have sympathy for you! I was miserably, horribly sick. I hope it ends earlier for you than it did for me! Sending good thoughts your way.

Toddlers are peculiar in their sympathy. Sometimes they are, and then at very unfortunate times they are not. Like Tom. Or like last week when I knocked my head on something so hard I cried and Sydney laughed and laughed.

Bless their little hearts.

Hope you get through this stage quickly!

What a bummer.

Between reading your blog and CreatureBug's blog and visiting a friend last week who had to get up in the middle of dinner and throw up while the rest of us tried to talk real load to cover up the quite-audible noises, I am feeling incredibly grateful and also somewhat guilty that I had easy pregnancies. Never threw up once in either one.

Go ahead and hate me now. But I have nothing but sympathy for you and I hope you get over it pretty soon!!

I feel your pain sweetie. Kaylynn also finds this incredibly funny. While I try not to lose everything, Kaylynn cracks up and makes me feel - oh so much better.

I hope you start to feel better soon. Meanwhile - Ethan continues to beat me up from the inside...

That's so funny. I mean, I'm sorry about the kecking, but imagining myself puking with someone laughing in between...well, that's funny.
