Happy Birthday To Me ...

Well, it was unavoidable, so I guess I'm officially 26. So far the day has gotten off to a pretty good start; we'll see how it ends. I have two HUGE presents on the dining room table that Super-Hubby wrapped last night. The gleam in his eye tells me he's up to something, but I'll have to wait until tonight to find out.

I was lucky to have received many well-wishes over email this morning from friends and relatives. I am a blessed girl.

I am, however, having A LOT of trouble with aging past 25. This is a feeling I never expected. I wrote an essay about it here. Check it out if you have a minute.

A comment or two would make a lovely birthday gift. I'm shameless, but it's allowed. It's my birthday after all.

Funny- I've never caught on to the hype of growing older, but I remember that 25 was sort of difficult. I just felt like I should "be somewhere" by that age. Is that what you are experiencing?

Happy birthday to you!! I too had a hard time with 26, though my reason (albeit slightly irrational) is that I don't like even numbers - they're too round. Fortunately my coming birthday is an odd one :) Hope you have a great day and we want to know what's in those huge boxes!

Uh oh, you're scaring me! I'm turning 25 in a couple of months and I'm uncomfortable with that. Look at it this way: you're over the quarter-century hump, but you're still gorgeously, blissfully young. Plus, I hear that the 30s are the best.

Happy Birthday :)

Happy Birthday and enjoy the youngness of it all! I'm 35 and I'm the baby of the group I run with! I didn't have a hard time with 25 or 30 (I went on a cruise with girlfriends to celebrate #30!). But 35 was a little harder. I'm finding that metabolism is slowing, crows feet are more noticeable, skin isn't quite so elastic. I'm telling you...enjoy it now, dear. ;D

Happy Birthday! I hope your day is fun, beautiful, and packed with everything good.

It's funny how each of us has a certain age that throws us into odd speculations and reflections on the past and the future. I had no problem with 30. My magic number is fast-approaching.

YEAH FOR YOU!!! Enjoy your special day! I feel blessed to know you and so you're not alone - I also had huge problems with 26. 27 is better!! Hope those presents are what you wanted!! enjoy!

Happy Birthday! I hope you're having a fabulous day! You rock, and I bet you have wonderful things awaiting you in the next year. I've been 26 for almost a month now and I don't feel different at all, but I think my b-day got kind of overshadowed by graduation this year...

Happy Birthday Stace!!! I hope your day was everything you wanted. I am a couple months away from 33 and let me tell you it scares the poopy out of me lol. I just don't know where the time went. You still have goals to reach for~your life isn't over yet I promise. You still have a second child and who knows maybe a third!!! You have gardens to plant, friends to make, books to write and God only knows what else is planned for you. Just sit back and enjoy life for a while because it goes by so quickly. I would just like to hit the slow forward button!!!

Happy (belated) birthday!! I had no idea it was coming! When I read you were turning 26, it shocked me into remembering how old I am! I have no great wisdom to help you with the number, but I hope you had a wonderful day and I hope it helps to know that I'll always be older than you!!!
